Pastor Allen was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and spent his formative years in Detroit, Michigan. He commenced his journey in gospel ministry in 1985, under the tutelage of the late Bishop Archie Buchanan (his mentor) in Okinawa, Japan. He has faithfully sought the truths in the Word of God to prepare himself to minister those truths to those he has been called to.
From 1987 until 1990 he sat under the leadership of the late Elder Floyd Henry Thuston (his mentor) in Kansas City, Missouri where he honed in on the spirit of servitude. During this gospel journey he has served in numerous capacities of the church; including: Youth Leader for the Japan Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, Inc., Sunday school and Bible Study teacher, Jurisdictional Secretary, Ordination Board Member for Japan Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, Assistant Pastor, and other positions of leadership.
In May 1998, while living in Naples, Italy he and his family founded Agape Fellowship, a ministry within the Italian community to serve all nationalities living in the area of Gricignano, Italy.
Pastor Allen is Overseer of Agape International Ministries (AIM). In August 2000, he and First Lady Allen established Agape Fellowship Ministries, Incorporated (AFMI) in Stafford, Virginia. In August 2000, they opened the doors of this ministry, and they have diligently served the Stafford community.
Adhering to spiritual heritage and his roots in the Church of God in Christ, Pastor Allen maintains that roots as he serves in the cabinet of Kansas East Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ as a Superintendent under the leadership of Bishop L. F. Thuston, Jurisdictional Prelate.
