A Message from Our Pastor
Dear Agape Fellowship Family,
As I reflect on our journey this past year, my heart is filled with overwhelming gratitude and praise to God. We have faced challenges, celebrated victories, and witnessed God’s faithfulness every step of the way. Through it all, we have remained united, and the Lord has truly kept us.
I am genuinely excited and full of expectation for what lies ahead in 2026! As we stretch beyond our comfort zones and embrace the limitless possibilities in God, I believe we are entering a season of greater prayer, greater power, and greater purpose. God is calling us forward, and there is so much in store as we continue to serve Him together.
Lady Armstrong and I ask that we continue to walk in love with one another—staying focused, committed, and united as one body. We ask for your full support and participation in our 21 Days of Fasting and 31 Days of Prayer.
As we step boldly into 2026, let us move together under our theme:
“Walking to Please God.”
From my heart to yours, God bless you all is my prayer.
~ Pastor Armstrong
Prayer Line Instructions & Phone Etiquette
Dates: January 1–31, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM nightly
Prayer Line: (716) 427-1128
Access Code: 204711#
To ensure our prayer time remains focused, reverent, and welcoming for everyone—especially new saints—we kindly ask all participants to follow these guidelines:
-
Mute Your Phone When Not Praying
If you are not leading in prayer, please mute your phone. Please refrain from side conversations or background noise, as this interrupts the prayer team and those who are praying. -
Hold All Amens Until the End
While we value your agreement in prayer, please hold all amens until the person praying has finished or until the prayer team concludes. This helps create a comfortable environment for new saints who may be praying and are still growing in confidence. -
Mute Immediately Upon Entering the Prayer Line
As you join the prayer line—especially if you arrive late—please mute your phone right away so the prayer is not disturbed.
21 Days of Fasting: January 1-21, 2026
What is Fasting?
A biblical fast is abstaining from food or other distractions for spiritual purposes. Jesus encouraged fasting (Matthew 6:17–18; 9:15), and many believers abstain from food, television, and other entertainment to focus entirely on God.
Fasting is most effective when combined with:
- Prayer
- Bible study
- Worship
Without prayer and Scripture, fasting becomes merely a diet.
Preparing to Fast Step 1: Set Your Objective
Ask the Holy Spirit to clarify your purpose:
- Spiritual renewal
- Healing or guidance
- Resolution of problems
- Special grace for challenges
This helps you pray more intentionally and strategically (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Step 2: Make Your Commitment
Decide before you begin:
- Length of fast (one meal per day, alternate days, or full days)
- Type of fast (water only, water & juice, etc.)
- Activities to limit (TV, social media, entertainment)
- Daily time dedicated to prayer and Scripture
Commitments made upfront will help you stay faithful.
Step 3: Prepare Spiritually
- Confess and repent of sin (1 John 1:9)
- Forgive those who have hurt you and seek forgiveness from others (Mark 11:25; Luke 11:4, 17:3-4)
- Surrender fully to Christ and refuse to obey worldly desires (Romans 12:1-2)
- Meditate on God’s attributes: love, faithfulness, wisdom, grace (Psalm 103:1–8, 11–13)
- Begin fasting with an expectant heart (Hebrews 11:6)
Step 4: Prepare Physically
- Consult your physician if you have health concerns
- Eat smaller, healthier meals before fasting
- Focus on fruits and vegetables 1–2 days before
- Exercise moderately and rest as needed
- Expect temporary discomfort: hunger, fatigue, mild headaches
Step 5: Daily Schedule for Fasting
- Morning: Praise, worship, Scripture reading, prayer (Philippians 2:13)
- Noon: Short prayer walk or intercession for family, church, community, nation, and world
- Evening: Private, unhurried prayer and study; group prayer if possible
Hydration Tips:
- 5–8 AM: Fresh fruit juices diluted with water
- 10:30 AM–Noon: Fresh vegetable juices
- 2:30–4 PM: Herbal tea with honey
- 6–8:30 PM: Juices or warm vegetable broth (avoid caffeine)
Step 6: End Your Fast Gradually
- Reintroduce foods slowly: start with fruit, raw salads, then steamed vegetables, and gradually return to normal meals
- This preserves physical health and sustains spiritual benefits
Step 7: Expect Results
Fasting sincerely will:
- Heighten awareness of God’s presence (John 14:21)
- Strengthen faith and confidence
- Provide spiritual, mental, and physical refreshment
- Reveal answers to prayer
Even if your first fast is challenging, stay encouraged. Each fast builds spiritual strength and faithfulness.
Daily Spiritual Disciplines
- Meditate on Scripture daily (Colossians 3:16)
- Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
- Share Christ with others daily
- Live holy and obedient lives
- Participate in church studies and fellowship
- Depend fully on the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18; 1 John 5:14-15)
- Hunger and thirst after righteousness (Matthew 5:6)
- Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37)
Commit fully, and God will honor your faithfulness. Let us walk together in 2026 to please God!
