🕊️ Home Communion Guide
1. Prepare Your Heart
Take a quiet moment to pause and invite the presence of God.
Pray:
“Lord, we thank You for this moment of remembrance. Forgive us of our sins and renew our hearts as we come before You in gratitude. Amen.”
2. Read Scripture
1 Corinthians 11:23–26 (NIV)
“The Lord Jesus, on the night He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’ In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of Me.’ For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.”
3. Take the Bread
Hold your bread or cracker.
“This is the body of Christ, broken for you. Take and eat, and remember His love.”
Eat the bread in reverence.
4. Take the Cup
Hold your juice or drink.
“This is the blood of Christ, shed for you for the forgiveness of sins. Take and drink, and remember His sacrifice.”
Drink and reflect quietly for a moment.
5. Prayer of Thanksgiving
“Jesus, thank You for Your body and blood that bring us healing, forgiveness, and new life. Help us to walk in love, unity, and faith as we remember Your sacrifice. Amen.”
6. Close with Praise
Sing a worship song, hum a hymn, or simply say:
“Thank You, Lord, for all You’ve done.”
