At Agape Fellowship Ministries, you’ll experience our faith through every part of the service—from the songs we sing to the prayers we lift and the messages preached from the pulpit. Each element of our worship is rooted in the Word of God. We are a Bible-based ministry, deeply committed to upholding the truth of Scripture in all we do.
As you join us, you’ll find that our heart for worship is passionate, our teaching is grounded in the Bible, and our community is united by love and the Spirit of Christ.
The Meaning Behind the Agape Fellowship Crest
Our crest is rich with spiritual symbolism, each element reflecting key truths of the Christian faith and the mission of our church.
The Dove and the Olive Branch
The dove is a symbol of the Holy Spirit and love. In Matthew 3:16, we see the Spirit of God descending like a dove upon Jesus, revealing divine presence and peace. The olive branch in its beak represents peace and deliverance, as seen in Genesis 8:11, when Noah knew the floodwaters had receded because the dove returned with an olive leaf.
The Cross
The cross signifies suffering, burden-bearing, and unwavering commitment to Christ. Jesus calls His followers to take up their cross in Matthew 10:38. It also speaks to the power of salvation through Christ’s sacrifice. As 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, “...unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” The cross represents the unity Christ brings between Jew and Gentile, reconciling all believers through His atonement (Ephesians 2:16). It is the very heart of the Gospel we preach.
The Open Bible
The open Bible reflects our deep reverence for God’s Word. It’s a symbol of our desire to grow in understanding and live according to Scripture. As 2 Timothy 3:16 teaches, all Scripture is inspired by God and essential for teaching and guiding us in righteousness. Like the believers in Acts 17:11, we are called to search the Scriptures daily with eager hearts.
The Palm Branches
Palm branches represent triumph and victory. When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted Him with palm branches, shouting praise (John 12:12–13). They are also a heavenly symbol of eternal worship and salvation, as seen in Revelation 7:9–10, where a great multitude stands before the throne with palms in their hands, giving glory to God and the Lamb.
Together, these symbols capture the heart of who we are—a Spirit-led, Christ-centered, Bible-rooted church walking in peace, victory, and love. We hope your time with us reflects the beauty and truth these symbols represent.
