Agape Fellowship Ministries is honored to celebrate the 4th Pastoral Anniversary of our beloved shepherd, Senior Pastor Dario L. Armstrong, affectionately known as Pastor Strong. For four years, Pastor Armstrong has faithfully served as Senior Pastor, leading with wisdom, humility, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the Word of God.
This anniversary gives us an opportunity not only to celebrate his years of service, but also to reflect on the ways God has continued to shape and expand his leadership. Through seasons of transition and growth, Pastor Strong has consistently demonstrated what it means to lead with a servant’s heart and a Kingdom-minded vision.
Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Alexandria, Virginia, Pastor Dario L. Armstrong is the eldest of three siblings and a lifelong servant of the Lord. Having walked with God for over 30 years, he answered the call to ministry in 1993 and has since served faithfully across various areas of church leadership.
Anointed to both preach and teach with clarity, power, and compassion, Pastor Strong has dedicated his life to saving souls, strengthening families, and edifying the Body of Christ for Kingdom purpose.
- Licensed as a Minister in 2001
- Ordained as an Elder in 2007
- Both under the leadership of Overseer Vincent C. Allen, Sr., Founder of Agape Fellowship Ministries, Inc.
Pastor Strong’s ministry has touched lives across the United States and abroad, including Italy and Africa. His deep love for church history continues to shape his perspective and leadership, providing a strong foundation for worship, service, and ministry in today’s world. His heart for outreach is evident through his work with prison ministries and community service, where he continues to pour into lives seeking hope, healing, and restoration.
A Leader Through Transition
This past year brought significant transition for Agape Fellowship Ministries as the church moved to its current location at The Tabernacle. While the process was labor-intensive and presented its share of challenges, Pastor Strong met each moment with humility, optimism, patience, and compassion.
Rather than allowing transition to become a distraction, he embraced it as an opportunity to continue building. His leadership throughout this season has reminded us that ministry is not simply about a building or a location—it is about the people God has called us to serve.
Under his leadership, Agape Fellowship Ministries has continued to pursue its mission of winning the community to Christ, one family at a time.
Building for the Future
Pastor Strong’s vision extends beyond what the church is today. Throughout this past year, we have been blessed by his desire to make Agape Fellowship Ministries an increasingly innovative, welcoming, and intergenerational fellowship where people from all walks of life can encounter God, find community, and discover their purpose.
One of the most exciting areas of growth has been our Chosen Generation, as Pastor Strong continues to champion the next generation and create opportunities for our youth to be seen, heard, valued, and empowered. His investment in young people reflects his belief that the future of the church is not something we wait for—it is something we intentionally cultivate today.
We have also witnessed the development of new church officers and ministry leaders, creating greater opportunities for members to serve, grow, and take ownership of their Kingdom assignment. Through this intentional development of leadership, Pastor Strong continues to equip others rather than simply doing ministry for them.
