The Dove and the Olive Branch: The Dove represents the Holy Spirit and love. Matthew 3:16 says, “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:” Matthew 10:16 says, “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” The Olive Branch in its mouth represents peace and deliverance. Genesis 8:11 says, “And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive-leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.”

​The Cross: The Cross-represents suffering, burden bearing, and commitment. Matthew 10:38 says, “And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.” It also stands for the doctrine of Atonement. I Corinthians 1:18 says, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” It expresses unity between the Jew and Gentiles, and the believer and Christ. Ephesians 2:16 says, “And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby.” Finally, the cross is the nucleus of the preaching of the Word of God. By it, the New Testament church is established.

​The Open Bible: The Open Bible represents the Word of God and the attitude each believer should have, constantly seeking to know more about Jesus Christ. II Timothy 3:16 says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitably for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” Acts 17:11 says, “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the Scripture daily, whether those things were so.”

The Palm Branches: The Palm Branches represents triumph and victory. John 12:12-13 says, “On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.” Revelation 7:9-10 says, “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude which no man could number, of all nations, and kindred’s, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.”
